Which Way Should I Go?

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

In Lewis Carroll’s famous novel Alice in Wonderland, an exchange takes place where Alice comes upon the grinning Cheshire Cat. She’s lost and asks him, “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”

The cat quips back, “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”

“I don’t much care where,” Alice replies.

So the cat says, “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”

Many folks today, like Alice, simply don’t know where they’re going. Then they’re surprised after they’ve ended up wasting their years starting this, stopping that, switching gears, but never really having a purpose in life.

But what would happen if we became not more “simple” minded, but “single” minded in our resolve? What if instead of looking for just the right job or person to marry, people began with the end in mind of living full-out for Christ whatever path that meant taking?

In Christ, you have a destination: to serve Him fully and wholeheartedly. And while the exact path to that destination may not be illuminated yet, you can begin looking for direction today with that end in mind. Keep Christ first and let you life’s path go from there.

If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you can do so right now. Turn to Him in faith and true repentance. Confess and ask forgiveness of your sins and ask Him to make you one of His own.

There are quite a few sayings that Christians like to quote as if they are from the Bible when in actuality they do not. Some even blatantly contradict the Bible. In Support of True Repentance

I don’t like debating Christians. I’d rather emphasize our common faith and hope in Jesus (Eph. 4:2-5; John 17:20-23). However, there are erroneous doctrines that need to be corrected (or at least explored further) because they contradict the Gospel at its very foundation. One such doctrine is pejoratively called “easy-believism.” It is described as a faith that consists only in cognitive assent a simple mental acknowledgement of certain Gospel truths apart from repentance or a determination to follow the Savior. Favoring this doctrine, J.B. A Disturbing Disregard for the Truth of Gods Word

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” – Hosea 4:6 According to disturbing new tudies, over 50% of Americans rarely or never read the Holy Bible. Only 1 in 10 hold a Biblical worldview. Only 25% of American Christians feel they have a personal responsibility to share the Gospel with others, and only 40% believe that the Holy Bible is truly the “Word of God”.
